Position Overview

Pioneer Place Family Practice and Walk-in Clinic is seeking a dedicated Family Medicine Physician to join our healthcare team. This role requires a commitment to providing comprehensive medical care to patients of all ages.

Qualifications
  • Education: Medical degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years in a relevant medical field.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and assess medical histories from patients, their families, or other healthcare professionals.
  • Conduct thorough examinations to diagnose health conditions and identify potential diseases or injuries.
  • Request and interpret laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures to determine suitable treatment options.
  • Collaborate with fellow medical practitioners to assess patients' physical and mental well-being.
  • Prescribe and manage medications and treatment plans.
  • Offer guidance and advice to patients regarding their healthcare needs.
  • Deliver acute care management as required.
  • Provide counseling and support to patients and their families on various health and lifestyle matters.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certification from the College of Family Physicians (CCFP).
  • Valid licensure from provincial or territorial authorities.
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 36 to 40 hours per week.
