We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at N. Harris Computer Corporation - CAD. As a key member of our finance group, you will play a critical role in supporting the divisional VP's and ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of the monthly financial statements.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare revenue recognition schedules and related journal entries for software implementation contracts using the percent complete method
- Provide support to the divisional VP's as needed
- Assist in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of the monthly financial statements
- Review and analyze monthly results and assist in preparation of reporting to senior management
- Manage group Account Receivable team
- Interact with internal and external auditors
- Assist with forecasting of net revenues and operating expenses
- Assist in the management of divisional work-in-process and accounts receivable including oversight of the collections process
- Ensure that established control procedures are in place and identify control risks
- Assist in due diligence and integrating new acquisitions into the finance group
- Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Full ownership of work
- Desire to take initiative
- Able to delegate effectively and take full ownership of delegated activities
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
- Strong communication and people skills
- Ability to meet deadlines in a rapidly changing business environment

- Undergraduate degree in business, finance, or accounting
- Completion of a professional accounting designation program
- Experience with Great Plains

- 3+ years of work experience in an accounting or finance environment
