About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled SMT Line Technician to join our team at Evertz. As an SMT Line Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line equipment, ensuring high-quality production and meeting manufacturing targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain SMT line equipment, including machine and feeder setup, part taping and reeling, and verifying board assembly prior to reflow.
  • Perform daily maintenance of SMT equipment and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Meet manufacturing and quality targets, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure high-quality products.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 graduate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in SMT Line Operation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to read values and correct polarity of Surface Mount components.
  • General knowledge of Electronic components and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working in a production environment or with similar equipment.
  • WHMIS Training.

  • Adhere to established quality and housekeeping standards.
  • Report any contravention of the Act or regulations or the existence of any hazard to your supervisor.
