About the Role:

Evertz is seeking a highly skilled SMT Line Technician to join our team. As an SMT Line Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line equipment, ensuring high-quality production and meeting manufacturing targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain SMT line equipment, including machine and feeder setup, part taping and reeling, and verifying board assembly prior to reflow.
  • Perform daily maintenance of SMT equipment and ensure compliance with all Evertz policies and procedures.
  • Meet manufacturing and quality targets, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
  • Participate in quality control and assurance activities to ensure high-quality products.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 graduate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in SMT line operation.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Ability to read values and correct polarity of Surface Mount components.
  • General knowledge of electronic components and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience working in a production environment or with similar equipment.
  • WHMIS training.

Health and Safety:

  • Adhere to all safety and non-safety plant rules and regulations.
  • Report any hazards or defects in equipment to the supervisor.
  • Participate in health and safety training and activities.
