WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Manager to oversee our Ecology division in the Lower Mainland, a vital segment of our Ecology and Environmental Impact Assessment (EcoEIA) sector in British Columbia. Reporting directly to the Director of EcoEIA, this role encompasses both leadership of a skilled team of 25 professionals and the provision of high-level technical and project management expertise across diverse projects of varying scopes and complexities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a safe and positive workplace for all team members.

- Support project managers and assume leadership responsibilities, including:
- Reviewing cost estimates and client deliverables within your designated authority.
- Assisting team members in prioritizing and organizing their tasks to meet project deadlines.

- Engage in human resources activities, including performance evaluations, recruitment, and onboarding processes.
- Collaborate with the EcoEIA Director and Vice President to ensure the financial success of the team by monitoring financial performance and implementing necessary improvements.
- Communicate organizational policies and directives to the Ecology team and oversee their implementation.
- Encourage collaboration within the EcoEIA team and across other business lines.
- Inspire team adherence to WSP’s guiding principles and vision.
- Mentor Ecology team project managers.
- Participate in business development initiatives to enhance the Ecology team's growth and client relationships.
- Lead monthly meetings for the Ecology team.
Qualifications:
- A university degree in environmental or natural sciences, environmental engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in a consulting role focused on ecological project delivery.
- Professional registration (R.P.Bio, P.Ag, RPP, etc.) in British Columbia.
- Proven ability to collaborate with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong business acumen and experience in financial management, including budget development and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated project management expertise, capable of overseeing multiple projects concurrently.
- Proven success in team leadership and management, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong commitment to health and safety leadership.
- Dedication to technical excellence, with the ability to draft proposals and technical reports.
Compensation:
Salary Range (in British Columbia): $99,500 - $164,200. The final salary for this position may vary based on factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skills, and organizational needs.
