Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement short-term and long-term curriculum plans that align with the Ontario curriculum and meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons that promote student understanding and achievement in Mathematics and Science.
  • Evaluate and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage classroom environments that promote student engagement, motivation, and well-being.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of student progress and achievements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement instructional strategies that support student learning and achievement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent teaching certification.
  • Eligible for or in possession of an Ontario Teaching Certificate.
  • Fluent in French is required for this position.
  • Valid first-aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience with the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme is desirable.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and build strong relationships with students, parents, and community members.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality educational experiences that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Understanding of the philosophy and principles of French immersion education is an asset.
