Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage customer orders by planning and optimizing shipments into efficient loads and coordinating freight with third-party carriers.
2. Maintain and update the Transportation Management System with accurate shipment details.
3. Communicate effectively with customers and team members across various shifts via phone and email.
4. Ensure visibility for management and clients by tracking shipments, overseeing processes, and addressing operational challenges.
5. Complete daily logs and maintain trackers for operational efficiency.
6. Negotiate rates with carriers on a spot basis to ensure cost-effectiveness.
7. Identify and propose cost-saving opportunities for clients.
8. Collaborate with carriers to guarantee timely deliveries by monitoring trucks for pick-up and estimating arrival times.
9. Investigate load exceptions and provide comprehensive reporting.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
2. A minimum of two years of experience in Transportation or Supply Chain is desirable.
3. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
4. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential.
5. Proficiency in desktop applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
6. A strong customer service orientation.
7. Capability to build and sustain professional relationships with clients and team members.
8. Adaptability in a changing environment.
9. Excellent organizational skills.
10. Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
11. Willingness to learn and operate various computer systems across platforms.
12. Flexibility to work different shifts as required.

14. Willingness to travel as necessary.

Physical Requirements:
The physical and mental demands necessary for this position include:
- Reading and communicating effectively in both verbal and written forms.
