The Production Helper plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production areas. As a key member of our team, you will work on assigned projects with minimal supervision, performing general manual labor tasks and housekeeping duties. Your attention to detail and ability to operate material handling equipment will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities:- Perform general manual labor and housekeeping duties in production areas
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks
- Conduct visual inspections of equipment and identify potential issues
- Assist with kiln outage work, including refractory installation
- Inspect and identify nonconforming products
- Operate mobile equipment, such as front-end loaders and bobcats
- Work collaboratively with other employees to achieve team goals
- Complete documentation and records as required
- Monitor work for adherence to legislated requirements
- Report any production, electrical, or mechanical issues to supervision
- High School Graduate or GED equivalency
- Technical knowledge of process and plant equipment in a manufacturing environment
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate heavy equipment
- Basic computer skills and ability to complete documentation
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently
- Fluency in spoken and written English
