A Snapshot of Your Day
As a Wind Service Site Technician, you will be working on wind turbines, performing electrical and hydraulic maintenance tasks, and supporting technical activities such as commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting. You will also be responsible for coordinating and accomplishing defined service operations and resolving product issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform technical tasks to ensure the efficient delivery of wind turbine services
- Conduct electrical and hydraulic maintenance tasks
- Support technical activities such as commissioning, integration, and troubleshooting
- Coordinate and accomplish defined service operations
- Resolve product issues
- Support warehouse, inventory, and safety inspections
Requirements
- Physically and mentally able to work suspended from heights and in confined spaces
- Strong initiative and motivation to learn new technology and translate learning into personal success
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must meet body weight restrictions of 265 pounds or less as required by safety regulations
- Must pass a physical administered by a medical practitioner to ensure ability to safely perform job functions
- Relevant work experience or demonstrated knowledge in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, maintenance/troubleshooting in a military, industrial, or automotive industry
- Electrical and/or mechanical education preferred
- Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in Canada
- Driving is an essential function of the job and applicants must have a valid driver's license at the time of application with an acceptable driving record
- Candidate must be able to work overtime and be on scheduled standby for weekends and holidays
