About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Omega Formwork Inc. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth and even finish.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and ensure it is properly set.
  • Surface Preparation: Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification to ensure a precise finish.
  • Work at Heights: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Tool Operation: Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Training and Development: Instruct apprentices and provide guidance on best practices for concrete finishing.
  • Installation and Repair: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Quality Control: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, including handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes and meet project deadlines.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in concrete finishing.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
