About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team at Omega Formwork Inc. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality finish on our concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement, operate power vibrators to compact concrete, and level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Installation and Repair: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Surface Preparation: Waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces, and apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
  • Health and Safety: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages, and handle heavy loads while maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Instruct apprentices, read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve project goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in concrete finishing.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods, and attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, flexible, and a team player.
