Job Title: Computer-Assisted Design/Computer-Assisted Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer-Assisted Design/Computer-Assisted Manufacturing professional to join our team at Deslaurier Custom Cabinets. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for overseeing production, setting machine or equipment controls, and designing plant layouts and production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee production and ensure efficient use of resources
  • Set machine or equipment controls to optimize production
  • Design plant layouts and production facilities to improve workflow and productivity
  • Develop computer applications for machines and processes to streamline production
  • Collect and analyze data and samples to inform production decisions
  • Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports to support production planning
  • Read blueprints and drawings to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Estimate costs and materials to optimize production budgets
  • Program CNC machine tools to improve production efficiency
Requirements:
  • Mastercam CAD/CAM skills
  • Programming software proficiency
  • Computer-aided design (CAD) skills
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Ability to use computer numerical control (CNC) machines
Work Environment:

This is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, ability to handle heavy loads, and standing for extended periods. We are looking for a team player who is flexible, organized, and has initiative.

Experience:

2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field. Permanent position with 40 hours per week. English is the primary language of communication.
