Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Deslaurier Custom Cabinets. The ideal candidate will have experience in overseeing production, setting machine controls, and designing plant layouts and production facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee production to ensure efficient and high-quality output
  • Set machine or equipment controls to optimize production processes
  • Design plant layouts and production facilities to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Develop computer applications for machines and processes to improve accuracy and speed
  • Collect and analyze data and samples to inform production decisions
  • Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports to support business operations
  • Read blueprints and drawings to ensure accurate production
  • Estimate costs and materials to optimize production budgets
  • Program CNC machine tools to improve production efficiency

Requirements:

  • Mastercam CAD/CAM experience
  • Programming software proficiency
  • Computer-aided design (CAD) skills
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Ability to use computer numerical control (CNC) machines

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced environment with a focus on efficiency and productivity
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
