Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Computer-Aided Design/Manufacturing Specialist to join our team at Deslaurier Custom Cabinets. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing production, setting machine controls, and designing plant layouts and production facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee production and ensure efficient workflow
  • Set machine or equipment controls to optimize manufacturing processes
  • Design plant layouts and production facilities to maximize productivity
  • Develop computer applications for machines and processes
  • Collect and analyze data and samples to inform manufacturing decisions
  • Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in Mastercam CAD/CAM, programming software, and computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Experience with computer numerical control (CNC) machines
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of millwork and cabinet-making
  • Experience with AutoCAD and other design software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
