Position Overview
This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and operational efficiency of the airport during unforeseen disruptions and emergencies.
We are seeking a Manager of Business Resilience within the Airport Operations Department.
Reporting directly to the Director of Service Delivery & Resilience, the selected candidate will oversee the emergency planning team tasked with managing the Emergency Management Plan, and developing protocols to facilitate the airport's response to various emergency scenarios.
The role involves ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies related to emergency preparedness and facility life-safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and nurture effective relationships with essential stakeholders and business partners, particularly those providing life-safety services.
- Lead and manage emergency planning initiatives, including legislated major training and simulation exercises.
- Support organization-wide efforts related to the implementation of the Authority's Business Continuity Planning framework.
- Guide and mentor a dedicated team, overseeing their performance, conducting evaluations, and facilitating professional development.
Qualifications:
Five years of recent, relevant experience in a leadership capacity within an operational environment focused on emergency planning, complemented by a bachelor's degree in public safety, public administration, business continuity, or a related field; or a three-year degree in life safety disciplines, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Extensive expertise in multi-agency, full-scale emergency exercise and simulation planning and execution, as well as disaster response and planning.
Demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making abilities to effectively manage operational and emergency situations.
Proven capacity to evaluate risks and threats according to established protocols and procedures.
Strong project management and communication skills, including proficiency in meeting facilitation and public speaking.
