The Chief of Pharmacy and Laboratory Operations is a pivotal leadership position within our organization. This role involves overseeing the comprehensive management of pharmacy services in collaboration with various healthcare facilities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the operations of the hospital pharmacy, ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to pharmacy and laboratory teams, focusing on recruitment, retention, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with regional healthcare providers to standardize medication administration and laboratory practices.
  • Establish strategic objectives and manage departmental budgets in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Implement quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards.
  • Maintain effective inventory management and oversee the hospital drug formulary.
  • Promote safe medication practices and ensure the smooth operation of pharmacy and laboratory services.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to maintain after-hours operations and laboratory services.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree is required, with a Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive management experience in a hospital setting is essential.
