Technical Trainer, Heavy Equipment

The Technical Trainer, Heavy Equipment will provide valuable support to our Technicians and our Customers through top technical expertise on our Caterpillar Product Line, in addition to developing and delivering industry-leading technical training for Heavy Equipment.

About the Role

As a Technical Trainer, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering classroom, shop, and video conference training on Caterpillar equipment
  • Developing training content according to established Caterpillar standards
  • Participating in the analysis of training needs and contributing to the maintenance of training equipment
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A vocational diploma or valid license (421A) in heavy duty mechanics combined with a minimum of 5 years experience as an equipment technician
  • Communication skills are essential, with the ability to convey knowledge and work professionally with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable using office software such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and video conferencing
  • A deep working knowledge of engine, hydraulic, electrical, and transmission systems
