Job Overview:
As a Youth Coding Program Manager at Code Ninjas, you will be instrumental in enhancing our outreach to local elementary schools and building strong community ties. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Collaboration with Local Schools: Identify and connect with essential contacts at nearby elementary schools to establish productive partnerships.
- Program Development: Secure agreements and contracts for after-school enrichment initiatives at a minimum of five schools in the area.
- Instructional Oversight: Supervise program implementation with the support of a Code Sensei (instructor).
- Community Involvement: Organize and participate in special school events such as STEM days and career fairs to promote our offerings.
- Parental Engagement: Encourage parent participation in complimentary sessions at our facility.
- Operational Support: Act as a backup for the Assistant Center Director, providing assistance with center operations as necessary.
- Day Camp Coordination: Assist in planning and executing day camps during school closures.
Qualifications:
- A strong enthusiasm for technology education and working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience in community outreach or educational program management is advantageous.
- Availability to work during after-school hours and occasionally during school hours.
- Reliable transportation for school visits.
- Willingness to undergo required background checks.
