Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Comfora Home Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks. Additionally, you will participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees, and assist with their immediate settlement needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks
  • Participate in a government or community program or initiative that supports newcomers and/or refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience
  • Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week
  • Relocation costs covered by employer
