Job Title: Personal Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Comfora Home Care. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their own homes.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks. Additionally, you will work closely with our clients to understand their unique needs and preferences, and provide emotional support and companionship.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care and support to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and other daily tasks
  • Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and preferences
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Participate in government or community programs that support newcomers and refugees
  • Assist with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and refugees
  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and refugees
  • Recruit newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster
  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment
Requirements:
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Ability to work with clients who have diverse backgrounds and needs
