Commercial Banking Relationship Specialist

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of our Commercial Banking division, you will collaborate with clients to design comprehensive financial solutions that support their growth, enhance cash flow management, boost operational efficiency, and reduce risk. In your role as a Relationship Specialist, you will oversee and expand a portfolio of Commercial Banking clients by actively pursuing new business opportunities and ensuring that their daily banking requirements are met with excellence. You will serve as a strategic partner to prominent Canadian enterprises, delivering adaptable business solutions, expert guidance, and timely advice to help clients achieve their objectives.

Compensation

Salary Range: $78,000 - $95,000 per annum

Qualifications for Success

  • Client Relationship Development - Establish new client connections through proactive business development efforts, utilizing referral networks, existing clients, and influential contacts. Continuously monitor and nurture these relationships by thoroughly understanding our clients' objectives and business status.
  • Collaborative Teamwork - Partner with internal stakeholders to connect clients with opportunities. Dedicate yourself to building a presence in the local business community to leverage relationships with both new and existing clients and internal partners.
  • Exceptional Client Experience - Anticipate your clients' needs and propose tailored solutions to address them. Engage with assigned clients as needed to ensure prompt responses to inquiries or issues, delivering top-tier service. Utilize your industry and company knowledge to craft client proposals for financial and strategic solutions.

Who You Are

  • Client-Centric Approach - You prioritize our clients' needs and engage with purpose to find the best solutions, going above and beyond when necessary.
  • Relevant Experience - You possess a background in Commercial or Business Banking, with proven business development skills and a solid grasp of financial statements and accounting principles, including valuation techniques and cash flow analysis. You have experience managing the credit quality of a portfolio of commercial banking clients with credit needs typically ranging from $1.5MM to $10MM and/or complex cash management requirements.

  • Educational Background - You hold a degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
