Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Subcity Donair. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans
  • Keep records of food quantities used and package take-out food
  • Portion and wrap foods, prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, and serve customers at counters or buffet tables
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, take customers' orders, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, and handle and store cleaning products
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas, and remove kitchen garbage and trash
  • Sharpen kitchen knives, sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
Requirements:
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, physically demanding, and repetitive tasks
  • Standing for extended periods, working under pressure, and attention to detail
  • Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) weight handling
  • Client focus, reliability, team player, ability to multitask, dependability, and positive attitude
