Job Title: Food Counter Attendant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Food Counter Attendant to join our team at Subcity Donair. As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to maintain a clean and welcoming environment
  • Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware, and flatware, and place them in storage areas
  • Replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas
  • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and scour pots and pans
  • Keep records of the quantities of food used, and package take-out food
  • Portion and wrap foods, and prepare, heat, and finish simple food items
  • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, and stock refrigerators and salad bars
  • Take customers' orders, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs
  • Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment
  • Handle and store cleaning products, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and sharpen kitchen knives
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, and wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit
Requirements:
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace
