About Mona's Taqueria

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled Culinary Team Member to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and safe food service environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, including preparing dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe food service environment, including inspecting kitchens and food service areas, and ensuring that all equipment and machinery is in good working order.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and organize buffets and banquets as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit, and stocking refrigerators and salad bars.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Safe Food Handling certificate.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced restaurant environment with a physically demanding workload.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, lifting up to 9 kg (20 lbs), and working in a hot kitchen environment.
