About the Role

Cornwall Community Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Medical Radiation Technologist to join our Diagnostic Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality radiological examinations and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce all required radiological examinations according to prescribed standards
• Perform general radiography, mobile radiography, gastric studies, mobile fluoroscopy, urology, O.R., and associated tasks
• Select and prepare contrast media
• Document all appropriate information in the radiology information system
• Uphold all policies and procedures of the department and organization

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiology
• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
• Proficiency in digitized radiography equipment
• Recent relevant experience
• Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of HIS, Ris, and PACS
• Demonstrated effective communication skills, critical thinking, problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work well with multiple interruptions
• Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment
• Meet physical demands of position, including lifting over 60 lbs. and constant standing and/or walking
• Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
• Current certification in BCLS
• Demonstrated regular/punctual attendance
• Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
