Position Overview

Cordeiro Roofing Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in estimating costs for various construction projects, ensuring accurate financial planning and budgeting.

Qualifications
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in a related field or equivalent experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive estimates for labor and material costs
  • Create master format estimates (Class A) and elemental format estimates (Classes B, C, D)
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Conduct economic feasibility studies and preliminary estimates for proposed projects
  • Generate and submit detailed estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Implement quantity take-off procedures for accurate measurements
  • Provide guidance on tendering processes
  • Analyze tenders and make award recommendations
  • Establish cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Oversee and adjust contract expenditures as necessary
  • Maintain a directory of suppliers and trade contractors
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors regarding cost estimates
  • Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
