Mechanical Cost Analyst

Join the expanding team at Black & McDonald, where we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to contribute to our success. The Mechanical Cost Analyst role involves close collaboration with senior management to ensure accurate project estimations and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive cost assessments for various construction initiatives
  • Provide guidance on bidding processes and facilitate contract negotiations
  • Manage pricing proposals in coordination with vendors and subcontractors
  • Communicate effectively with engineers, architects, and construction teams
  • Remain informed about advancements in industry practices and technologies

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field in Construction Technology
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a cost estimation role within the mechanical sector
  • In-depth knowledge of contract management and construction methodologies
  • Expertise in reading mechanical schematics and fluency in trade practices
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is advantageous

Proficiency in Microsoft applications, as well as specialized software such as Autobid Mechanical and Accubid Change Order Pro, is essential for this position.
