Carpentry Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at PREET HOME FRAMING INC. as a key member of our construction team.
Key Responsibilities- Site Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials to meet project requirements.
- Construction: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems to ensure a solid structure.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware to complete the project.
- Project Management: Schedule and co-ordinate work on sites to ensure timely completion and meet client expectations.
- Quality Control: Survey building locations and levels to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
- Team Leadership: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Cost Estimation: Estimate costs and materials to ensure project feasibility and profitability.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
- Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in carpentry or a related field.
- Work Environment: Outdoors, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Language: English is the primary language of communication.
- Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, with regular working hours.
