Life Enrichment Programmer

Verve Senior Living is seeking a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team as a Life Enrichment Programmer. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing meaningful recreation programs that enhance the physical, cultural, social, spiritual, and intellectual development of our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement recreation programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Collaborate with the Life Enrichment Manager to plan and execute programs that promote resident engagement and well-being.
  • Supervise and assist volunteers in the Life Enrichment department.
  • Meet with new residents to introduce them to the Life Enrichment department and its policies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies in all Life Enrichment programs.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Life Enrichment Manager and other departments as needed.
  • Valid Class 4 Driver's License and ability to drive the Hawthorn Park bus for activity purposes.
  • Standard First Aid, Serving It Right, and Food Safe certifications.

Requirements

  • 2-year college diploma in Recreation and Leisure Studies, Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, or a related discipline.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
