AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in a project management capacity. As a key member of our Environmental Remediation team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality geotechnical engineering services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide geotechnical project management and technical support for ongoing AECOM projects.
- Work with other geotechnical staff to provide geotechnical project management and design services to current and prospective clients.
- Maintain positive working relationships with client contacts, suppliers, subcontractors, engineering consultants, and other external agencies.
- Conduct field investigations, including borehole drilling and forensic geotechnical assessments.
- Prepare proposals for medium to high complexity projects.
- Carry out geotechnical analysis, design, and reporting for transportation, municipal, building, environmental, and energy projects.
- University graduate with a degree in geotechnical, geological, or civil engineering.
- Currently registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario or other provinces.
- Minimum 6 years of industry experience in providing practical civil and geotechnical engineering services.
- Previous experience working in an engineering consulting environment.
- Class G driver's license.
- Knowledge of rock mechanics engineering and project experience.
- MTO medium to high complexity project experience.
- Postgraduate degree in engineering.
- Proficiency with geotechnical software.
- Knowledge of pavement engineering principles.
- Previous experience conducting geotechnical works in the field.
- Construction oversight, QA/QC, contract administration.
- Coordination of designs with drafting teams.
- A strong commitment to safety.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Strong organizational ability, manage multiple projects, and deliver on time and on budget.
- Experience with project management.
- Proposal writing, job scoping, project plans.
- Highly developed written communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills.
- High level of initiative and enthusiasm for getting things done.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite.
