Position: Quality Assurance Specialist in Civil Engineering and Architecture

As a key player in the construction sector, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality of architectural and civil projects, particularly at hydroelectric facilities. Your role will involve ensuring that all work aligns with established project standards and specifications, particularly regarding environmental, quality, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the execution of civil and architectural tasks on-site for new construction projects;
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements;
  • Evaluate the quality and conformity of designs and specifications with current industry standards;
  • Assess and review the quality management plans submitted by contractors;
  • Facilitate the application of quality assurance plans addressing technical, safety, and environmental criteria;
  • Contribute to the preparation of progress reports detailing work status, resource management, labor, materials, and any technical discrepancies;
  • Identify and document any non-conformities during project oversight;
  • Ensure that identified issues do not hinder project commissioning;
  • Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in civil engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience;
  • Proven experience in project oversight;
  • Strong communication skills with contractors and familiarity with large-scale projects;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle;
  • Proficient in computer applications;
  • Fluent in French, both spoken and written;
  • Current construction safety certification;
  • Training with Hydro-Quebec is considered an asset;
  • Dynamic, self-sufficient, and well-organized.

Working Conditions:

  • Work schedule typically consists of four days, ten hours each day, subject to contractor requirements.
