About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Meridia Recruitment Solutions. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in developing innovative and competitive approaches to execute the steel scope on complex projects in the ICI, infrastructure repair, and design-build markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and create optimized and detailed plans for the execution of the scope of work being tendered.
  • Work collaboratively with various stakeholders and industry experts to ensure that potential risks and uncertainties that could impact project costs and timelines are minimized.
  • Develop deep relationships with industry partners and suppliers.
  • Mentor and support the team of Estimators working with you.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant estimating experience in the construction industry.
  • Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline (i.e., Engineering), or a combination of education and relevant industry experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, under tight timelines, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills (verbal and written), to effectively lead the estimating team and work with suppliers.
