Job Title: Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at 2466831 Alberta Ltd. as a key member of our culinary team.

Job Summary:

The Executive Chef will be responsible for leading our kitchen team in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes, maintaining a clean and safe working environment, and ensuring that all food safety and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, including specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menus to enhance the dining experience.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen supplies and requisition food and equipment as needed.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective service.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1-2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
Working Conditions:

The Executive Chef will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with regular exposure to heat, noise, and physical activity. The successful candidate will be required to work a 35-hour week, with occasional overtime as needed.
