Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier II Support: Respond to and resolve networking issues in a timely manner, working on tickets and collaborating with the Service Desk.
  • Network Analysis and Troubleshooting: Regularly analyze network connectivity through the LAN/WAN infrastructure, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal network performance.
  • Network Device Management: Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot network devices for clients, ensuring they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Configuration and Management of Networking Tools: Configure and manage networking tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning correctly.
  • Network Management and Reporting: Analyze network management data, compiling reports as necessary to provide insights and recommendations to clients.
  • Technical Support and Assistance: Provide expert technical assistance to clients and the Service Desk, offering suggestions and recommendations to improve network performance.
  • Collaboration with ISPs and Vendors: Work with ISPs and other vendors to troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to clients.
  • On-Call and Maintenance Activities: Participate in on-call rotations and conduct maintenance activities outside of regular working hours, ensuring the network remains stable and secure.
Requirements
  • Core Networking Technologies: 2+ years of experience working in core networking technologies like routing and switching.
  • Bilingualism: Bilingual French and English is required.
  • Hands-on Experience: Hands-on experience working and troubleshooting in a production network.
  • CCNA and CCNP: CCNA (Routing & Switching) is required, with CCNP Enterprise being a plus.
  • Enterprise Routing and Switching Solutions: A thorough understanding of enterprise routing and switching solutions, including VRFs, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, STP, VPC, etc.
  • Firewalls and Wireless Technologies: A thorough understanding of firewalls and wireless technologies, with experience in Fortinet, Cisco, and Meraki firewalls being a plus.
  • VPN Technologies: Knowledge of VPN technologies, including DMVPN, IPSEC-VPN, SSL VPN, etc.
  • Load-balancers and VOIP Technologies: Knowledge of load-balancers and VOIP technologies being a plus.
  • Scripting or Programming: Knowledge of scripting or programming being a plus.
  • SNMP and Network Monitoring: Understanding of SNMP technology and familiarity with network monitoring.
  • Microsoft Office Suite and Visio: Skilled and well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite and Visio.
