About the Role

The University of Lethbridge's Project Management Office – Facilities is seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager for a 27-month term position. Reporting to the Associate Executive Director, you will play a vital role in overseeing all phases of maintenance, renovation, and construction projects within our campus.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage professional service agreements effectively.
  • Develop comprehensive project budgets and contracting strategies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine user requirements and ensure accurate reflection in construction documents.
  • Prepare tender documents, contracts, and administer contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Generate detailed cost estimates for building systems within an institutional environment.
  • Conduct on-site construction observations to monitor progress and adherence to plans.
  • Utilize a project management system to effectively manage the implementation of approved projects.

Your Qualifications

  • Possess a University Degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management or a related field.
  • Alternatively, hold a College Diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrate Project Management qualifications and professional designations within the construction industry.
  • Experience developing cost estimates for building systems in an institutional or commercial setting is highly valued.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects on time and within budget.

Compensation & Benefits

The University of Lethbridge offers a competitive compensation package that includes a comprehensive benefits plan. The starting salary range for this position is $73,972.76 to $91,972.76 annually (at 1.0 FTE), with a full salary range of $73,972.76 to $110,835.04 annually (APO - Grade 4).
