Job Title: Security Operations Advisor

At VIA Rail, we are seeking a highly skilled Security Operations Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our security team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our security framework and safeguarding our customers, employees, infrastructure, and the public within our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage security contracts, including deployment of security guards throughout the VIA Rail network, and provide solutions to meet specific security needs.
  • Develop and maintain a National Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) repertoire for VIA Rail Canada assets.
  • Act as the National subject matter expert on Physical Security, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure industry standards are applied.
  • Develop and maintain a National Security Asset Control Management and Life Cycle Management Program.
  • Manage critical physical infrastructures and deploy technologies to protect VIA Rail assets.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing financial and human resources
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in reviewing building plans for physical security requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience managing Security contracts nationally
  • Experience in using Security systems such as Kantech, Ecquivision, and preparing Purchase orders of $5K+
  • ASSET: CPP certified
