Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Full Stack Developer to join our Technology and Operations team at the Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design, development, and implementation of full-stack applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop full-stack applications using a range of technologies, including Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java, and Scala.
  • Lead the development of complex software systems, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and meet the required quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and develop solutions that meet those needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their adoption in our development processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-6 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack development.
  • Experience with a range of programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java, and Scala.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and orchestration using Openshift Container Platform.
  • Experience with database technologies, including PostgreSQL and Hive.
  • Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
