Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Full Stack Developer to join our Technology and Operations team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise in the design and development of full-stack applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop full-stack applications using a range of technologies, including Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java, and Scala.
  • Lead the development of complex software systems, ensuring they are scalable, efficient, and meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, and develop technical solutions to meet those needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, and contribute to the development of technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our software development processes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-6 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on full-stack development.
  • Experience with a range of programming languages, including Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Java, and Scala.
  • Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as OpenShift.
  • Experience with database technologies such as PostgreSQL and Hive.
  • Strong understanding of software development principles, including Agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
