About the Role

Pelican Events and Catering is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Catering Supervisor to join our team. As a Catering Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our catering services, from food preparation to delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service: Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
  • Staff Management: Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and supervise and coordinate the activities of staff.
  • Customer Service: Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Operations Management: Establish methods to meet work schedules, and supervise and check the assembly of trays and delivery of food trolleys.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset, or equivalent experience.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, and physically demanding.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, flexibility, team player, initiative, and dependability.
