About the Role

Cimtel Telecommunications is seeking a skilled Cable Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install trunking systems, circuits, and equipment, and complete and maintain test and service reports.
  • Work at Heights: Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to install and maintain equipment.
  • Equipment Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, and splice, join, and connect wires.
  • Customer Service: Connect, disconnect, and relocate cable outlets, and repair or replace defective telephone equipment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required; experience an asset.
  • Work Environment: Work in a variety of locations, including at heights, and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring ability to climb, bend, and lift.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with coaxial lines, single lines, copper, cable outlets, splitters, and security systems.
