Position Overview

The Bioanalytical Scientist will possess extensive experience in the research and development of bioanalytical assays utilizing LC-MS/MS technology. This role requires the ability to devise innovative strategies to address challenges in mass spectrometry. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, optimizing, and developing assays in accordance with current GLP regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Profound knowledge of LC-MS/MS principles and applications.
  • Proficient in serum/plasma and tissue sample extraction methodologies.
  • Engage in the research and development of LC-MS/MS assays, including the troubleshooting of existing assays.
  • Conduct analytical studies for pre-clinical and clinical phases, adhering to the Study Plan/Amendments, GLPs, SOPs, and prevailing industry best practices.
  • Plan research projects effectively and deliver timely solutions.
  • Analyze, interpret, document, and report results for analytical projects, including validation and sample analysis.
  • Collaborate with various Clients, Consultants, and Toxicology Study Directors to coordinate results.
  • Generate comprehensive reports within study timelines, ensuring any deviations or exceptional events are documented and their impact on study data is assessed.
  • Stay informed about relevant regulatory changes within the industry.
  • Draft, review, and implement all applicable SOPs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Science (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or a related discipline).
  • Experience in project management within the scientific sector.
  • Strong grasp of bioanalytical methodologies and associated regulations.
  • Hands-on experience with analytical instrumentation, particularly LC-MS/MS.
  • A collaborative team player with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in data analysis and report generation.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
