**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Perinatal Nurse to join our team at the Health Sciences Centre. As a Perinatal Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to high-risk obstetrical patients at our Fetal Assessment Unit.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate healthcare needs for high-risk obstetrical patients
  • Collaborate with the Perinatologist and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and guidelines in perinatal nursing

**Requirements:**

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a high-risk perinatal unit
  • Previous experience in a fetal assessment unit preferred
  • Graduate of an approved School of Nursing
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred
  • Successful completion of Obstetrical Ultrasound course required

**Certifications and Skills:**

  • Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM)
  • Active participation in professional associations preferred
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training as per policy
  • Scope of practice as per Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA)
  • Preference for competency in an Indigenous language and knowledge of Indigenous customs and traditions

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Ability to provide care for all aspects of pregnancy, including termination
