Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert nursing care to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiology and cardiac surgery, with experience in acute medical-surgical and emergency nursing. You will be responsible for providing independent nursing services, administering prescribed medical treatments, and coordinating patient care and discharge.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert nursing care to patients with complex and unpredictable health needs
  • Administer prescribed medical treatments and coordinate patient care and discharge
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
  • Participate in professional development and education to stay current with best practices
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program
  • Current CRNM registration
  • Experience in acute cardiology or cardiac surgery and/or acute medical-surgical and/or emergency nursing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
