Waste Collection Vehicle Operator

Join our team at Excelone Staffing Services as a dedicated Recycling Truck Driver. This role involves operating specialized vehicles for waste management and recycling, contributing to sustainable practices in our communities.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of secondary school or equivalent experience is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant driving experience is preferred.
The position requires working in various locations, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to different work settings.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine checks, lubrication, refueling, and cleaning of vehicles.
- Safely operate a range of vehicles and equipment related to waste collection.
- Must possess a valid DZ class license.
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement is required.
- Experience with garbage trucks, salt trucks, and snow transportation vehicles is advantageous.
- Must be bondable and pass a driver's validity license check.
- A clean driving record is essential.
A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
Physical Demands- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
- This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Personal tools such as gloves and steel-toed safety boots are necessary.
- Strong oral communication skills are essential for effective interaction.
This position plays a crucial role in promoting positive environmental outcomes through responsible waste management practices.
Job TypeThis is a seasonal position with expected working hours ranging from 40 to 48 hours per week.
