Utilities Superintendent

The Resort Municipality of Osoyoos, BC, is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Utilities Superintendent.

Position Overview
This full-time management role reports directly to the Director of Operational Services and is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the functionality of the municipality's water distribution and wastewater collection systems. The Utilities Superintendent will ensure that the Department's operators are well-trained and compliant with all regulatory standards. Additionally, this position will serve as the Chief Operator for both the water distribution and wastewater collection systems, leading the Utilities Department effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess an EOCP certification in Water Distribution Level II or III, Wastewater Collection Level II, Water Treatment Level II, and Wastewater Treatment Level I. Alternatively, an undergraduate degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a diploma in Civil or a related Engineering Technology will be considered advantageous. Candidates should have 5-10 years of relevant experience in the operation and maintenance of water distribution and wastewater systems, along with 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity. Proficiency in computer systems, including GIS and SCADA software, is preferred. A valid Class 5 BC driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
