Position Overview

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate the cash register efficiently.
  • Process various forms of payment including cash, cheques, and credit/debit cards.
  • Scan items and tabulate total payments for goods or services.
  • Receive payments and provide change as necessary.
  • Calculate daily or shift payments received and reconcile with total sales.
  • Engage in suggestive selling to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the counter area and stock shelves as needed.
  • Greet customers warmly and assist with reservations or take-out orders.
  • Wrap or package merchandise appropriately.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and participate in promotional activities.
Technical Skills
  • Familiarity with electronic cash registers and Interac machines is preferred.
Work Conditions
