Job Title: Casual Custodians

The Renfrew County District School Board is seeking reliable and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Casual Custodians. As a Casual Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our schools, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces
  • Conduct routine building and equipment maintenance, including repairing and replacing fixtures and appliances
  • Assist with grounds maintenance, including shoveling snow and performing other outdoor tasks
  • Operate custodial cleaning equipment, such as scrubbers and industrial vacuums
  • Work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning and maintenance goals
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in the custodial field is an asset
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to perform all duties related to this position, including lifting and bending
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
