Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodial Support Specialist to join our team at the Renfrew County District School Board. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to keep schools clean and safe
  • Assist with building maintenance, including repairs and minor renovations
  • Operate custodial cleaning equipment, such as scrubbers and industrial vacuums
  • Unload and move heavy supplies and materials
  • Perform physical tasks, such as shoveling snow and lifting heavy furniture
  • Follow oral and written instructions to complete tasks
  • Work effectively with colleagues, students, staff, and the public
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in custodial work is an asset
  • Proven dependability and reliability
  • Knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures
  • Familiarity with custodial cleaning equipment
  • Physical ability to perform tasks, including lifting and bending
