Business Systems Analyst, Capital Markets Technology, Hybrid

Scotiabank is seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
The Role
As a Business Systems Analyst, you will be responsible for liaising between business stakeholders and internal engineering and architect teams to ensure that solutions are developed and delivered on time, efficiently, and with high quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement market-leading solutions that are scalable and deliver excellence to our business partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of business functions and processes to identify opportunities for improvement and resolve problems.
- Ensure that business specifications and requirements documentation is accurate and comprehensive to support project planning and execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and deliver business requirements documents, design documents, use cases, and process models.
- Participate in project planning, monitoring, and control to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across GBME and other business areas to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Provide technical expertise and support to stakeholders to ensure that solutions meet business needs and are delivered efficiently.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in capital markets, with a strong understanding of business functions and processes.
- Experience working with databases, such as SQL Server, and ability to create and run queries independently.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver working results.
- Recognized undergraduate degree or diploma in business administration, computer science, or related field.
