About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Big Wings Moose Jaw. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a high level of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • Table and Chair Maintenance: Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs to ensure a clean and welcoming environment for our guests.
  • Inventory Management: Place dishes in storage areas and replenish condiments and other supplies at tables and serving areas to maintain an efficient inventory system.
  • Food Preparation: Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand, and use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice, and trim foodstuffs to meet the high standards of our kitchen.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment, to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our staff and guests.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash to maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
  • Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment for our staff and guests.
  • Food Preparation Assistance: Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruit to assist with food preparation and meet the high standards of our kitchen.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, requiring attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team setting.
  • Physical Demands: Standing for extended periods, with the ability to lift and move items as required.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Training and Development: Willingness to train and develop skills to meet the needs of our kitchen and guests.
  • Employment Type: Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
